Impulse ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal finance tracker developed by MagFer LTD. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles your data.

The Short Version

Impulse does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal or financial data to our servers. Your portfolio data stays entirely on your device and in your private iCloud account. We have no access to it.

Data Storage

All data you enter into Impulse — including your portfolio holdings, amounts, and net worth snapshots — is stored locally on your device using Core Data. If you are signed into iCloud, this data is also synced to your private iCloud container via Apple's CloudKit framework.

• Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, which only you can access.
• We do not operate any servers that receive, process, or store your data.
• We cannot see, access, or retrieve your portfolio information.

Data We Do Not Collect

Impulse does not collect:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Financial data (holdings, amounts, net worth)
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location data

No Account Required

Impulse does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app. The app works entirely with your Apple ID and iCloud account, which are managed by Apple.

Third-Party Services

Impulse uses the following third-party services:

• Apple CloudKit (iCloud) — to sync your portfolio data across your devices. This sync happens entirely within your private iCloud container. We have no access to this data.
• Market data providers — to fetch live prices for stocks, cryptocurrencies, and funds. These requests do not include any of your personal or portfolio data. Only ticker symbols are sent to retrieve current prices.
• Apple StoreKit — to manage in-app subscriptions. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information.

Children's Privacy

Impulse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
